How to Boot From a Used Flash Drive on an ASUS Eee

While computers come with a lot of things you want, they also come with things you may not want, like the operating system. Or maybe you like Windows, but you want to back up your system, just in case. These easy steps show you how to boot from a flash drive on an ASUS Eee PC, for whatever reason.

Instructions

Step1
Get everything ready. Have your flash drive, with whatever you want on the drive, plugged into your computer, which is turned off.

Step2
Turn on the computer by hitting the power button, usually at the top right of an ASUS computer.

Step3
Be quick with this step. As soon as the screen shows the ASUS logo, hit F2. Don't worry, though; if you don't get it the first time, all you have to do is restart the computer.

Step4
Use the right and left arrow keys, on the bottom right of your keyboard, to scroll over to the BOOT menu.

Step5
Use the up and down arrow keys to scroll down to select your flash hard drive.

Step6
With your flash drive selected, use the F6 key to move it to the top of the boot
list.

Step7
Move on over to the Exit tab, and select "Exit" while saving the changes made.
